In my life, rock stars are given the status of worship-able beings who we go to see by the hundreds of thousands and we hang on their every word. But as human beings, many of these “rock stars” live in ways that are neither admirable nor are they examples that should be followed if we want to achieve the ultimate goal of our lives. The great spiritual Masters, on the other hand, are the ones who (from my own personal experiences) live their lives for others. They give of their time and their efforts to guide humanity at large towards the highest goal of realizing their own innate divinity and of merging our souls into the Divine.
For this, I regard these Masters as the True Rock Stars of our world.
We, as world, lift so many human beings up to such heights, and for what? Because they can throw a ball really well? Because they can sing a song well? Because they are on T.V? All the while, none of us even have control over ourselves enough to remain calm and loving when someone might accidentally cut us off on the road, let alone to travel through the infinitely vast inner realms and merge our soul with the Primal Source of Bliss & Consciousness!
This is a painting of the True Rock Star. The only One who actually deserves the acclaim. The only One who truly IS great. The only One who can truly ROCK to say the least.
